Love that 'flower'. Will be growing some in my garden. Will look out for shadows to double the prettiness of this plant.
Margaret, you have had such a graceful presence on 365 for me and have given us some stupendous shots of lions that means whenever I see a lion in the future I am sure to think of you.
I love the photo and the shadows, also! Too bad no one knows what type plant this is. I looked up "wedding cake tree" and the leaves are not the same as with this plant.
We gotta stop doing this.. I just looked and took a picture of that very same type of tree in my yard today.. and made a note to myself to find out what the heck kind of flowering tree that is... awesome macro Magz.... and I love the shadows on the leaf..
You're right; the shadow is delightful. I took pictures of similar plants last Spring and several people told me what it was. Of course i can't remember.
Now that is the perfect shadow shot...crisp and clear. Of course, if you have shadows then you must have sun...and that means I might be a wee bit jealous of you ! ; )
I too love the shadows in this! ..and the curious mix of bloomed and unbloomed buds! Hey, I fiiiinally found some foo foo plants yesterday, but the shots didn't turn out too well :-(
i love how all the white flowers go in a circle together and your right, the shadows are amazing! it was the first thing that caught my eye when i looked at your photo...very nice!
