Oh my stars and garters!!! You DID it Maggie! One thousand Thank You's and more..... I can scarcely believe my eyes, except that wondrous and miraculous photographs are not surprise coming from you. :-D It's a lovely, well composed picture of a handsome creature in repose; the greenery is really nice too.
OK, here's why it's SOOOOO exciting for me: This is the first time I have ever actually SEEN the white spots behind the ears!!! I've read about them, sure, but I've never seen them (not even on PBS -"Nature", or "Nova:) and this photo couldn't be a better illustration of their unique feature. What a sensational surprise; I didn't really think that you'd be able to get them from the angle needed - silly me! I forgot, you do whatever it takes......... you're a trooper for sure. And thanks for mentioning me; now I feel like a "bigshot", and I didn't even take the wonderful picture! LOL And this will always be a VERY special Fave.
What a lark! I have a new game now: "The Maggie Challenge" LOL
Thank you for more than you can know.....Les xx
Interesting! I wonder if they are supposed to be 'eyes' you know? to ward off predators the way some butterflies do? I guess tigers don't have too many predators, but maybe the babies do...?
i love your animal photos
keep em coming :D
