Carter's field.

I hoped to catch a deer grazing with the horses as often happens here. But not today.

Beautiful composition ... love these guys and the color tones! Would be cool to see a deer or two there also. But I've noticed that the deer will run almost as soon as they spot you. Still ... I hope that you get one, Margaret. :)

Oh deer - but you can never go wrong with the faithful horses, and a picture of them in a leisurely state is lovely!

A wonderful scene, the deer are so timid, I have seen them in the woods here but never managed to get a pic.

Frustrating when you don't get the shot you set out to get isn't it? I wanted a swan yesterday but they weren't playing ball. You captured a beautiful serene scene with the horses though xx

Still a very lovely photo, even without the deer. That's great that they can co-exist like that though....

LOL- it will always be Carter's field, I miss her & the Santa display, don't really remember him.

@doglady I don't remember him except for the time I teased his bull and it jumped the fence.
