Rangitoto by maggiemae

Rangitoto

This is a dormant volcano, last erupted about 600 years ago. It is over the sea from Auckland. I am standing on Takapuna Beach, a lovely sandy and flat beach great for walkers and swimmers alike!

The days are passing going from rest home to rest home - boy, I'm glad Ive still got two strong pegs to stand on!
Beautiful place!! Looks so relaxing :)

Sure makes you appreciate your good health maggiemae!!! One of the best things about NZ I always admire are the wonderful facilities for elderly people, the old peoples place i have visited are absolutely wonderful...I think I will emigrate when I get to that age!!!! Probably because you have so much space in your country so no overcrowding!!
love this washed out photo maggiemae...you have done what I tried & miserably failed to do....that lone person on the beach...just perfect!

@happypat thanks Pat! John read out your message to me - we were playing a classic musical quiz! It was so good because he could now see what a super group of people I am lucky enough to communicate with!

@yonnie I just caught this light from looking in the camera, Yvonne. It didnt look so good with the naked eye! Where I'm staying, the net is SO slow it is frustrating! You can go away and have a cup of coffee and it is still loading when you come back!

Lovely Maggie. And you're doing a good thing with all the visiting.
April 5th, 2013
@judithg yes, Judith, both sister and SIL grabbed my hand, held it to their chest and then kissed it so I felt they were pleased we had made the effort!

Meg
very pretty and relaxing to see...what do you mean you've been going from rest home to rest home?
April 6th, 2013
