A new Icecream shop has opened up in the historic part of Oamaru. Its called "Deja Moo".
This shot has three elements; firstly, the icecream, thick and creamy hokey pokey, secondly the two children sitting on the shop step digging into their pottles, and finally the old push bike leaning outside the shop.
Three good things
1 the icecream is locally made.
2. It is creamy and full of flavour.
3. Worth every dollar I paid for it!
A pottle...never heard that word before maggiemae, I had to enlarge & have a good look but it must mean ice cream as that is what they are eating. They look very sweet sitting together on the step in the spring sun.
It has to be hot before I eat ice cream but it does look a large & delicious cornet.
@happypat I hadn't hear the word before either. Had to google it and came up with:
Noun:
1.A measure for liquids equal to a half gallon.
2. A pot or container holding this.
A lovely busy shot with lots going on. The Hokey Pokey sounds interesting - I have never heard of it or a pottle. I am learning something new every day from 365!!
@grammyn@pamknowler@yonnie okey pokey icecream is, apparently only a NZ flavour. It is vanilla icecream with pieces of hokey pokey swirled through. The hokey pokey is a crunchy type of sweet made from golden syrup and other ingredients with baking soda added to it which foams it up. It then sets hard and crunchy.
