The longest day in our part of the world! This was taken 1 hour before sunset at 9.24pm and the sky changed every five minutes. A dark and rainy front had just gone through and the sun made a low and brief appearance.

Three good things:
1. The days might get shorter but I like longer nights.
2. If John turned his skype on, I could skype him to tell him to bring the tea that he made in to the room!
3. Both having iPads is sometimes not good! But at least we are in the same room!
Stunning solstice light! So beautiful! It's our winter solstice, with today being the shortest day. I'm looking forward to the days gradually getting longer for the next six months. :)
Love the colors in this. (And I like this one better)
Your comment about skyping with John to tell him to bring tea made me smile ; ) I have texted my husband when he was in the house--just too lazy and didn't want to yell at him.
Beautiful image and light.... we have just been through the shortest day here in the UK... your comment about the ipad will ring true with many I should think, although we only have one in the house at the moment (and Roy always bags it first!)
Fab contrasts in this shot! I wish we had longer light in our summer days as it is dark by about 8 pm in summer and that's what I miss about English summers.
I can't wait until the sun is out until 8 pm or so!! These "short" days make me feel like I get less and less done. What a fascinating color the sun has cast on the hillside there. Great shot!
Wow...the light is wicked! Thought you had 'inverted' it to get those colours. Fav
It was our shortest day and I must say I am glad for the days to get longer again.
The shortest day for us and also very miserable, wet and windy!
