Sheep May Safely Graze..... by maggiemae

Sheep May Safely Graze.....

Sheep may safely graze and pasture
In a watchful Shepherd's sight.
Those who rule with wisdom guiding
Bring to hearts a peace abiding
Bless a land with joy made bright.

We all know and love the music!

Three good things:
1. My sunset picture went on to PP. Thanks to all who commented. It does encourage me!
2. Waterblasting the house's eaves and getting the windows clean at the same time.
3. Sometimes forgetting why you are in a certain place has its good moments - you get a lot of things done you never intended to!
What a sweet shot Maggie. It looks magical with the light shining on the sheep. Idyllic.

Coming out to N.Zin February so looking forward to it, love to hear of some good places to go

@frantic Feb, next year? I'm in the South Island which has much more scenic beauty, less people and more good food so allow tons of time here!

Pretty scene. I like how the sheep are framed by the trees.

What a lovely sense of pastoral tranquility this shot brings. Make sure you visit the Tasman district in the upper South Is. I think it's hard to beat for beauty, but I maybe biased.

Such a beautiful pastoral scene maggiemae such pretty shaded space for the sheep to sit out of the sun...the sunny grass in the distance adds such beautiful light.
March 19th, 2014
@happypat I liked that sunny spot too, Pat, but found it difficult to make it clear as it was so bright and the scene with the sheep so much in deep shade!

March 20th, 2014
The grazing sheep add to the beauty of this tranquil country setting. The musical words are so lovely!
March 21st, 2014
Beautiful in every way!

Love the greens and the dappled light in this. The words you quote remind me of my volunteer work years ago for a public classical music radio station here. I answered the phone for their on-air fund raising. Some people would always donate on behalf of their sheepdog, J.S, Bark, and the request was always for Bach's "Sheep May Safely Graze".

@tristansmum Nice to hear, Stephanie! I would have like that sort of job!

Beautiful shot, Maggiemae. You did a great job capturing the lighting and shading. The sheep look almost framed by all the green.
