Could be called a mess - I brought in a golden leafed branch to put on the window sill and it's continually dropped tiny gold leaves. The only way I can clean this up is with a vacuum.
Three good things;
1. More water blasting - the back garage wall is clean and white now.
2. The painter has come and started on the eaves, window sills and one side of the house looks brand new (58 years old)
3. A favourite dish - lightly poached egg on a bacon, cheese and tomato toasted sandwich!
My word this looks so lovely maggiemae....perhaps black & white gives it a tidier look than in colour.....very pretty & delicate!
You will be all spruced up for winter!
@happypat Its a wonder I got this photo, Pat! I had to balance on the bed and avoid the painter who was also balanced on his trestle outside the window!
@maggiemae we were in Penang last year! I loved Georgetown. Did you manage to see the street art there? Afraid I didn't get to bring back such a beautiful jug.
@jackie8 I think what you have said, Jackie is what I saw in this branch - bonsai. I've actually been trying to do this for ages and now I've done it and not even known I've done it!
I love this. FAVed. I also notice that you live in NZ south island, which I also loved when I spent a month there last year during my BIG60 Trip. My daughter's partner comes from Christchurch so we started there and toured around finally ending up in Nelson, which I fell in love with for its historic feel, but saw so many stunning and beautiful places on the way around the island.

Your sandwich sounds delicious!
