Roses are put around vineyards to be able to tell if any bugs are around. They become affected first. I was walking around the vineyards and olive groves here and had just crossed a bridge under which was a tangle of eels some of which were quite large.
Three good things:
1. A large spa where one could languish (I didn't)
2. Son and girlfriend arrived and its good to see them happy.
3. People remarking on what one wears - good things.
I never new that roses protected vineyards like this but it makes complete sense! There must be lots of roses ...I wonder if they sell them! Looking forward to the rugby at Eden Park tomorrow. .......I think you might have a good chance!!!
These roses look quite healthy so I guess all is well at the vineyard! Eels? I don't think of them as being inland. Sounds like there are a lot of interesting things to see there.
