Wine tasting at our house was a novel event and ended up a rather expensive event! The wines were mostly German and French and there were a couple of really blue bottles. The flowers on this label caught my eye.
Three good things:
1. A great bike ride in the afternoon sun.
2. Seedless grapes
3. wisteria coming out.
You set this up great. Love that blue bottle and the way it is decorated too. One reason some wines we have been purchased over the years is for their decor. The grapes make it. They have been really good here. Hope you enjoyed yours too.
@taffy@darsphotos We were told that once the cork is out of the bottle, it will last for 10 days! So if you two can get here in 10 days after we get our first order, the door will be open!
@maggiemae You are so funny and sweet. I did not think wine lasted that long after opened. My husband has told my son and me only a few days. I would love to visit you and wish I could blink and be there. By the way, meant to mention that I pick up apples every weekend for the coming weeks lunches and about 4 weeks ago had one from NZ. I have no idea what store I bought it at as we shop 5 stores every weekend. It was the most delicious Fuji Apple.
@maggiemae This was the best Fuji Apple I have had. I pulled the sticky label off and had it on our counter to take a photo of and lost it. Our Fuji Apples here have not been that good from the store and from our Farmers Market and it is apple season. I did not know NZ's apples shipped to us. Too bad they do not do that all of the time.
Wow this is a cracker maggiemae......love, love all that colour, so beautiful with the blue bottles casting their reflections. Such a pretty blue one with the flowers on it....the grapes there too....I should have been there, what a happy night that must have been! Any excuse for a get together I say! Fave!
I love blue glass. If I had the right window for it and lots of sunlight coming in (and the funds to collect it) we'd probably have too much now! Pretty shot!
Nice blue bottles, German ones I guess....
We use to do wine and cheese evening...everybody brings one or two bottle : then blind test.... I'm bad at that !
Obviously, I am a little late to this party!! ;-)) I assume that by now all the wine has been consumed, but at least you will still have those pretty blue bottles. So, how does this work? Does everyone bring a bottle or two, or do you have to provide it all. That would tend to be expensive, but a fun party. Lovely picture, BTW!
i love blue bottles! i rarely ever see them anymore. maybe i should start collecting them, well, finding them first then collect. very nice set up, maggiemae. love me some grapes, seedless of course!
