Garden Icecream by maggiemae

Garden Icecream

The colours of this lovely white flower remind me of ice-cream. It is climbing up the ugly corrugated fence that I have mentioned before and has completely enveloped it! I have a lavender clematis elsewhere.

Three good things;
1. Thinking about Xmas and overseas gifts to buy fairly quickly - shouldn't but does keep me awake.
2. A new bell and another lock for my very fancy bike.
3. Crockpot macaroni cheese.
Wow Maggie I have just seen John on the Breakfast show.. He really gets around .. were you not tempted to come to The Big Boy's Toys Show as well... BTW.. great shot of lovely clematis,.,

@julzmaioro I just saw him too! Good eh? I am a bit tired of trekking around behind him and motorbikes!

beauty everywhere!

A gorgeous shot and presentation -- great to have the clematis Montana --it will cover anything and everything and much nicer than a corrugated fence !! So envious seeing all your flowers -- all we can expect is the doom and gloom of winter -- it's really turned cold today !

Beautiful capture

Lovely to see your gorgeous garden through our winter eyes.....all that white & cream loveliness reminds us of summer. I really must try & introduce more colour & flowers to my front garden. It's sadly lacking in the flower side of things partly due to all the trees but sure I colud do better. Famous John on the TV....he does get about! He will be ready for home though no doubt!
November 6th, 2014
@happypat He doesn't seem to mind the travelling whereas I find it tedious!
November 6th, 2014

November 6th, 2014
Wow Maggie that's a stunner! As beautiful unopened as open.
November 6th, 2014
i see your ice-creams maggie. You need to put a flake in one to make it a 99 :) :)

(does that joke translate OK across the other side of the world ???)
November 6th, 2014
@phil_howcroft I presume you mean a chocolate flake? But whats a '99'?

November 6th, 2014
@jackie8 It is so creamy and flavoursome done this way, Jackie! Takes 2 and 1/2 hours but worth it!
November 6th, 2014

Lovely shot, Maggie. Very pretty colors and detail. I don't even want to think of Xmas. It's just another ordinary day in my house.
November 7th, 2014
@prttblues It is in mine too Bev - no family expecting the Xmas of the past that I had!
November 7th, 2014
Bev
@maggiemae I haven't celebrated any holidays (Xmas, Halloween, Easter, etc) in my house since 2009. Christmas is the worst. It happens to be my daughter's birthday so it's double hard for me.
November 7th, 2014
You've created beauty out of the problem -- success!

Iagree with Skip Tribby - i don't like winters but your flowers are beautiful to look at on this cold wet day. They look so delicate yet they must be vigorous to coverthe fence
