A street in our town that is outstanding in a shared beauty. All the great houses front on to the street and take pride in their individual garden design. The lawns are kept mowed and there is no rubbish lying around or even cars in driveways!
I’m not sure I would want to live here - you would have to be very tidy and particular. I’m inclined to look out the window and mutter, I’ll do the lawns tomorrow!
Three good things;
1. Lots of memories and some great photos taken.
2. The washing machine coped nicely as did the dryer
3. Tomorrow I’m going to curl up in a corner and read a real book!
This is beautiful. We live in a neighborhood that is nicely kept up but most of the houses (not ours are two story. We also have at least one large tree in every front yard which, I think, makes the streets look a bit more "cluttered", for lack of a better word. Not pristine neat as this one. I wouldn't mind living here.
Harry would be right at home in this street maggiemae.....he would have his lawns as pristine as these & would take great pride in doing so! Not for me though, I like a bit of variety in my houses & love more a natural garden. Compliments to the householders though they must work hard at it! You loll about in the garden & enjoy that book....it's a long one but gets more gripping as you go on!
I can just imagine the Stepford Wives all living along this street - perfection is not for me!! Are you able to have a rest now your family have gone home?
it is a fabulous street maggie and no doubt a source of much pride to the residents
I am cutting my grass tomorrow, the first cut of the year after our winter months :)
I'm with @northy ! It looks like a movies set where no real people live! i'm also with you about putting of until tomorrow and would never be ble to keep this up! Great shot of it though!
great shot ... a little too perfect for me... my dad lived in a neighborhood in Florida where they didn't want the residents to own a pickup truck because they didn't want them sitting in the driveways! Nuts!
Ummmmm! Perhaps too neat and tidy for me. I prefer what my husband describes a s a 'lived in' look. This is actually an excuse for falling short of being perfectly tidy!!
@maggiemae My Mother would have lived happily in that street. Not long before she died, aged 90, she said given her time over again she would spend a lot less of it doing housework That is one thing I've always remembered:-)
What a beautiful area but not my thing. It is amazing that there are places like this that are so neat and look unlived in. I hope you got to curl up and read a book.
