Not supposed to be another selfie but this was an exercise in finding the best situation for a portrait photo. Looking down, looking up, looking straight at the camera? Too bright a light, not enough, - took me hours but found sitting on a chair and turning around was a good pose. Light from the side.
Three good things:
1. I could do all this all by myself - I'm at home alone - dangerous, as I've said.
2. Doing singing exercises with lessons on the net. I'm inclined to go off tune.
3. Sloppy Joes.
I experimented with deleted one photo and replacing it but I've lost all the comments now - bother! My apologies to all.......!
@swguevin At first it wasn't like this - it was just a door behind me and then it was suggested a better background could be had so I picmonkey'd it
! Thank you for your fav!
Nice selfie Maggie! You look very natural in front of the camera! Have fun while you're home alone! Jeff may have a job coming up where he'll stay in NJ a night or two- I can't wait!! hehe
It's a really lovely portrait. Great focus and lighting. I do find the background distracting as well, but I don't know how you would go around changing it!
@kiwichick I actually did do that by using a new canvas and transferring the picture on to it but it looked a bit plain. Seems to work with portrait photographers though. Getting the right light behind the model.
Lovely selfie, Maggie. You are very pretty. To delete a photo and replace you have to do it through picmonkey. On the one you want to replace, click "edit with picmonkey" then click "open" in picmonkey and open the one you want to replace it with and then click "save" and it will ask you if you want to replace the image and you tell it yes. This selfie is wonderful. You should set it for your profile pic!!
