Hairs or prickles? by maggiemae

Hairs or prickles?

At this time of the day when looking out the window right beside my computer, I was taken with the red hairs (?) on this tiny climbing rose. I don’t have a macro setting on this camera - I have to focus using manual and its not as macro as I would like! However a couple of photos seemed to lock on with focus.

Three good things;
1. Wonderful comments from so many people in my last photo which was incidental to the subject. I am happy that so many think the same way as me.- I - me!?
2. An unexpected FaceTime with Japanese family and our son. Masami, my daughter in law likes hats as much as I do! My grandson has gone on an adventure with his dog and 5 friends - packed a lunch and a compass, I hope!
3. An exciting trip tomorrow!
Love how the back lighting emphasizes the texture. Beautiful!

Great detail, love the pink.
Your post yesterday made me think a lot about the whole 365 thing today and Ive decided not to beat myself up if my shot isn't perfect, going to focus (sorry!) more on recording memories while still enjoying taking many photos.

That is a lovely shot with those red "hairs" on the rose branches being backlighted so beautifully!! Are you going somewhere exciting tomorrow? Lots of photo opportunities? How is your husband doing?

@panthora Going down the road to look at a new car, Osia! If we buy it I will take a photo of the interior - its so beautiful! Thank you for asking after John - he's amazingly fine - no side effects from the medications he's taking!

The rose seems to be lifting its stems like the graceful arms of a ballerina. I have a feeling that although the red "things" look like hair, they are on the prickly side- so test them out with caution! Better yet, just continue to watch this beauty unfold from the computer and take a shot or two of its progress. This one's lovely!

Very taken by how each bud is a different tone, or shade. Must be since it to in a different stage of development? The tips are just so lovely, no wonder your eyes were drawn to them. Great job focusing.
