An odd break in the clouds over Oamaru allowed an unusual light to appear. It was cloudy and cold. My sweet hubby drove around till I got the right height and angle to get the church spire against this sky! You can also see our town clock giving the right time.
Three good things:
1. The Farmer’s Market had wonderful smoked salmon and a caerphilly cheese that was smooth and soft.
2. Our Sunday cocktail (not every week) was a whisky sour - has egg white and lemon juice in it!
3. Just about finished our jar of marmite - its only me that uses it but its easy to buy now! Its lasted about 5 years!
Oh dear maggiemae...you could have some Narmite from here if I had known....Lydia could have brought it with her! I had a jar when Ant & Jo came over but couldn't find it bought another the kids wanted Vegimite so bought some of that & now I have all three almost full in my cupboard...it will be here for years!
Bless John he has enabled you to get this excellent shot. It shows your lovely Oamaru stone,
I can buy Marmite here easily, Pat but at one stage recently they stopped making it and the shelves were empty. Its all go now though. Not so fond of vegemite.
Stunning sky and vantage point. I have found it extremely difficult to get men to stop for photo opportunities usually the best I can manage is a 'slow down'. Your guy is gold-plated.
Wonderful composition - how lucky you are to have someone to take you to the perfect spot!! I have Marmite every day on my toast - I love it - a jar doesn't last very long in this house!!
What a stunning view!! I love buildings with clocks on them (we have very few if any around here) and the church spire is a beautiful silhouette against that gorgeous golden sky!! FAV!
Gorgeous color in the sky, with the clear silhouette above. This shot has lots of great layers, too. On the personal side, my dad has a great recipe for whiskey sours, with egg white to give it some froth. :)
Beautiful picture....so well worth the drive around to find the perfect vantage point! Isn't it nice to have hubbies to chauffeur us around....mine claims he is my Spotter! OK, this is driving me nuts....what exactly is Marmite?! I guess I could google it, but I figured I would ask!
Bless John he has enabled you to get this excellent shot. It shows your lovely Oamaru stone,
#3it would last me a whole lot longer than five years!
