Cappuccino by maggiemae

Cappuccino

Facebook told us there was a new coffee bar in the town and it was just down the hill from us! On entering the shop, we found a barista we knew who had a relative in the past who was a Munro. His middle name is Munro. He’s called it The Red Robin not because we have robins but his name is Robin.
He has set out on his own and is aiming at the takeaway coffee trade. Always like to encourage new ventures. His coffee comes from Guatemala and he researched all the places where coffee came from. Good coffee and good conversation.

Three good things:
1 Cooler weather today - didn’t want to get out my shorts - probably never will actually!
2. Bought some pretty artificial peonies for dark places. in the home.
3. Two more sleeps - one for the cat but I’m not letting her know that!
Cleverly done sc effect. Looks like a great place. What did you get?

A cafe in the family.....sounds good to me! Perhaps a discount too...The Red Robin is a great name, easy to remember but personal too. What the cat doesn't know she won't be worried......does a neighbour look after her? Looking rpforward to your travels over the next week or two..
I have been catching up with two recorded TV programmes tonight so have done no commenting!!

I like your Total composition with the two Munros in the shot and the choices you have made for the SC to create some great visual interest!
October 8th, 2015
What a nice shot.... the casual pose, the choice of coloring ... Ali working together beautifully. I love coffee shops. If I were there, I'd join you. :-)
October 8th, 2015
@happypat It did remind me of "Robins Return" That was a piece of music, wasn't it? Cat goes to a cattery and has no say in it!

October 9th, 2015
@maggiemae I remember Nigel Stock!
October 9th, 2015
@happypat So do I now I have researched! Robin casually mentioned his father was in the film, The Great Escape and there was a blurry photo! Then when I found out who he was, - Nigel's mother was Margaret Munro. Thats Robin's grandmother! I'll have to go back for a free coffee!
October 9th, 2015
@maggiemae I can't remember what he looked like but I recognised the name immediately! You are a famous family.!!!
October 9th, 2015
@happypat I'm intrigued by the way they all kept the name Munro in their names! Must have meant something. Nigel came from Malta!
October 9th, 2015
Neat processing. Really draws u in and piques ur interest.
October 9th, 2015
Cool processing. Love it. A place where they serve good coffee is always a winner with me. My regards to a Maltese compatriot but Nigel is not a Maltese name. Interesting to know his origins.

Love what you did with this...and great story as well. This shot reminded me of when I was in Italy. I walked into a coffee bar and asked for a Latte' (which here coffee with milk. I got a large glass of warm milk... hahaha! The barista seemed a little peeved at me when I requested a Cafe Latte' instead, after realizing my mistake. (stupid American...was the look I got!)
October 10th, 2015
