This day was introduced by some loud conversation by some ladies right outside our window at 6.20am! I felt like putting my head out the window and saying, you might be happy with this time for awakeness, but I’m not!
It rained all day and the motel that we had booked in Whitianga didn’t seem as good as last night but was right on the beach.
Three good things:
1. The motel improved as the weather did and the outlook was just so beautiful - here on the beach a lone fisherman tried his luck.
2. We changed the TV from one table to another so we could view the upcoming match of the All Blacks versus South Africa early in the morning! By the time this is up on 365, the result will be known!
3. Some guys raising money for Volunteer Fire Brigade got our vote and we loved the mussel, onion and egg fritter that they sold on the streets for $2.50 each!
Lovely view. I'm sure that the result of the game helped raise your mood. It was a fantastic game and I am proud of the way our boys played, just sad that they didn't win.
Great light on the fishing rod... the mussel fritter sounds like a bargain.. Hope that was not some of the people that I know that are in Whanga this weekend out side your window..
Interesting TGT as usual....great news re All Blacks, we were on the edge of our seats! Lovely Whitianga.....our grandchildren have all fished off that little jetty where you catch the ferry over the other side. Am getting behind with commenting , we are out too much this weekend but always have to catch yours!!
know people there as well.. lol
