Mysteries and Magic

In spite of a nagging cough, I feel so much better and keen to get out in the photo world! This photo was taken out of the car with my previous settings on the camera and so was over exposed. However i was intrigued to see that a corner of one of our historic buildings had come in from the left! I can't understand it!
Christmas decorations have arrived in Oamaru!

Three good things:
1. In spite of a ruddy small rabbit appearing on our lawn, Farmer McGregor will have a great time. Last time he tried for a shot for about 6 months then finally we found the rabbit having been half eaten by a cat! Sorry all you rabbit lovers - there are far too many here!
2. The kitchen sink blocked up and threatened a tsuami! Hubby wouldn’t give up, with his head in the cupboard and his knees getting soaked! I was in charge of the hose and turned on and off at the right time and it all got fixed! Just call me the Assistant Hose Director!
3. Nothing else happened!
makes a great abstract.
great your hubby is so handy with plumbing! lol i have been hose assistant many times.

Super effect.

Neat effect...I like Santa Claus :)

Nice effect you created here, Maggiemae. Santa Claus has already arrived 'down under'?
November 23rd, 2015
Nice job of salvaging that accidental capture.
November 23rd, 2015
Good to see Santa has arrived early down under!! Great effect!!

@pamknowler I'm ignoring the whole thing, Pam!

This is an intriguing shot.

Sometimes pictures surprise you. I found an old one and couldn't quite figure it out. just for fun I'll post it tomorrow. thank your for all of yours comments.

Well, if you hadn't said anything we probably would have thought you processed it this way on purpose. Rabbits are not a problem here- but the deer are and they evoke the same sentiments- only cats can't eat them.

I love this effect. I've been experimenting with overexposing in shopping parking lots ... seems to clean up the mess a bit. good job on the hosing.
November 24th, 2015
Nice high key shot! Well done on getting the sink fixed as well!
November 24th, 2015
@olivetreeann ...and you don't have fences! I can understand that problem with deer - they would eat trees!
November 24th, 2015
@grammyn I also got the underneath sink cupboard cleaned out beautifully!
November 24th, 2015
@maggiemae So hosing it down is the way to go with that?! ;~}
November 24th, 2015
Fun effect on this one. What teamwork to get the sink fixed as well!!
November 24th, 2015
Neat capture... I always dread the Plumbing work.....

@maggiemae Some folks have fences- but when a deer wants to eat something in your yard, a fence will not stop them. And yes, they do eat trees- and also scrape off the bark- which in turn kills the tree. But they don't do that as often as just annoyingly eating your flowers.

Wonderful high key -- even if accidental!

Typical spirit of NZ DIY.

Turned out wonderful.. as if you planned it. Hope you feel better soon. My husband has something now too!!
November 24th, 2015
Great effect even if it's a mistake! Glad you got your kitchen sink sorted, your commentary conjured up a rather comical scene in my head!
November 24th, 2015
@eyesmile Oh dear - does one go to the doctor or soldier on! I have no answer!
November 24th, 2015
I like this one. Could I exchange the bats here for your rabbit? I just cant get rid of them. Staying outside town makes the problem worst.
Love the number 3 " Nothing else happened!" Talking about three things:
On Friday your three good things, were on my mind.

1 Finished a photography course at last with a lot of problems, not being able to take the photographs due to my husbands illness.
2 The Taxman send me a few cents the first time in years!!!!!
3 We got 28 mm of rain.

Just as I was enjoying the good luck for a change....
Off goes the electricity due to the rain. That was 2 pm. Only to be repaired on Saturday morning at 8 am. Luck? the lightning struck a electricity pole opposite our house and only three houses were without electricity and we were one of them. Luck?

Oh - its so good to hear about your time recently! Not good really - it just means others have good stuff as well as bad stuff!
November 24th, 2015
I can sympathise with your hubby having to get down under the cupboard to fix the problem. The last time I did that I spend at least two days with a headache. AND WOMEN SAY MEN DO NOTHING IN THE HOUSE. So unfair. Btw. cool capture.
November 24th, 2015
I quite like the high key effect of this shot.
November 24th, 2015
Glad to hear you are feeling better. Nothing worse than feeling sick around the holidays
November 24th, 2015
Makes for an interesting shot, yes it that time of year again.
November 24th, 2015
Ho, ho, ho!
November 24th, 2015
The dreaded Christmas decorations, lovely capture but put your clothes back on, you don't want to be to exposed (Wink)
November 24th, 2015
What a great combination.
November 24th, 2015
@ladymagpie Would underexposed be better?
November 24th, 2015
@365projectorgsebgritt Ye of little girth! How can you be a Santa!
November 24th, 2015
@sangwann I was going to get the plumber, Dione but together we did it!
November 24th, 2015
@judithg I had to take your phrasing and think about it Judith! - a sink that doesn't argue?
November 24th, 2015
Wonderful high key effect! I especially like the building! Fav!
November 25th, 2015
The over exposure really makes it look rather special.
