On another road trip - this time down to Invercargill where the annual Burt Munro Challenge is held. Six different disciplines and the treasured trophy is awarded to the person who most replicates Burt’s challenge of fixing and improving his bike without any sponsorship money. They have to race in the “Hill Climb’, the Beach Race, the Raceway, the Speedway style of racing around a small dirt track with either one foot on the ground or a sidecar. Then there is the Street racing.
Three good things:
1. I sat in the back seat of the car and relaxed!
2. Our room at the hotel which is paid for, is rather nice with a huge king size bed and 2gb allowance for 4 days!
3. This shot by the way as taken at Clinton where the mighty draught horses feature at the entrance to the town - forever! (My fairy won’t last forever - she will get tired of sitting here on her knees)
Interesting trip re the bikes, but I admit to trying at first to figure out how the horses and bikes would do together! Wonderful photo -- timeless processing is very effective.
