The big moo from the Highland 'Coo by maggiemae

The big moo from the Highland 'Coo

I almost made mistake in the identification of this wee Highland cattle beast! I thought it was teenage Mama but John pointed out something pointy and I changed my mind! There were two stroppy youngsters kicking their heels around this fellow who was giving forth to a roar when they were changed from a field to this seaside field overlooking over the great Pacific!
Three good things:
1. This was a small coastal cafe and John ordered a steak provided he was given a really sharp knife (one of his big disappointments in the best of restaurants). He was happy! Out the window by our table this tableau eventuated.
2. The parsnip cakes I made were absolutely divine!
3. Life changes within decades I’ve realised… People leave, die, change…we choose to hang on to what is important now!!
looks like a big toy !

A Fave because the clarity, colours & the angle you took this boy at makes a very striking photo. You can see every wave in that hair

Those horns mean serious business- but he's quite the hairy mess, isn't he?! Nice shot!
December 18th, 2015
Brought a big smile to my face. Looks almost like a big shaggy dog...except for the horns of course. Great shot.
December 18th, 2015
@maggiemae all the more shock because he discovered it suddenly. It wouldn't have been so bad had you been there while it was occurring.

December 19th, 2015
The horns seem to be quite serious ones, but mostly I smiled at his 'bad hair day' since he seems a bit shaggy.
December 19th, 2015
@taffy This guy is not going to have a brush or comb I would think but if they show them then its the full works!
December 19th, 2015
Are these the cattle that can clear land? We once did a Land Survey for a Farmer that had 2 similar looking ones, he would fence in an area that had small trees and soon they were all gone!! very nice image!!
