A pleasant place to stay by maggiemae

A pleasant place to stay

Believe it or not but this is part of our local hospital! There was one on top of the hill with a stupendous view but it was old and ‘they” decided to build another one down on the flat!

It's very well done and modelled on an old style of architecture. The local next door park was inviegled into being the helicopter pad which wasn’t oringally agreed to. However all in all, it has been accepted and although in need of funding (as all little town hospitals are) it does a tremendous job!

Three good things;
1 The weather became more like summer today
2. My bike ride on Ruby (my electric bike) down town was like riding in a convertible! No effort, wind in your hair etc!
3. John’s computer has thrown in the towel - or John has rather with it! We might get a brand new one one with 26 months interest free option! How can they do this!
A wonderful composition.

So pleasantly appointed Maggiemae -- it looks so homely with it's flower borders so much more cosy than the over clinical looking buildings which sometime sit in the middle of a car-park with no friendly border of flowers or plant in sight ! I agree --a very pleasant place to stay !

What a lovely building! How wonderful to take a ride on an electric bike on a sunny day. Enjoy some warm summer weather for me! I am thankful that our snow has gone and the temperature went above freezing today.

I think you couldn't help but get better in a homely place like this. I have always been impressed with your hospitals & I have had occasion to use one twice when I have been over. I actually have a hospital number! Before she had children my DIL used to do voluntary work at the local old peoples home...not sure what your name is for that but the atmosphere was always happy & caring when I went with her. Not too, overcrowded like ours & caring nurses, you are lucky! We have only praise for our NHS but it is overworked & very under funded.
Interest free credit sounds wonderful....keep as much money in your pocket for as long as you can that's my motto!

Great history. Beautiful photo and processing. This one makes me yearn for springtime. A fav

Nicely captured- I like the processing. This type of hospital has gone by the wayside here. Too bad- I remember going to one in my teens when (back in the day...) I needed my wisdom teeth pulled!

By the way- I don't know if you saw my offer. I'd be happy to send a calendar to you. They are past selling now, so I am just looking for places where they will happily reside on a wall or on top of the desk of someone who expressed interest in it. Do you want one? If so, send your mailing address to my email: Olivetreeann@mail.com (yes, mail.com) and I will mail it to you.

@happypat We actually call them 'rest homes' Pat. But probably now they are called Age Challenged or something like that! I'm away from home now and catching up in a hotel with a lovely old fashioned lounge that I may post a pic of!

Wonderful colors! Feels so alive
January 22nd, 2016
I love this picture. That must be such a nice view when you are sick and need a hospital. Most places that serve the sick have started to understand that color and light can be restorative, it looks like this place knew it all along.
January 22nd, 2016
Love what you've done with this.
