The Cliff Face by maggiemae

The Cliff Face

I’m really pleased that my simple road shot got people’s imagination going.
Today we said ‘au revoir’ to some great friends who have sold their farm and are shifting far north to here. They stayed in a family holiday spot nearby before driving away. This family spot in Waianakarua (5 ‘ A’s) has great geographical significance as seen. This is a huge cliff standing vertically above a lovely small river that never dries up. The river is underneath this green plateau with its dry stone wall at the end.
Three good things;
1. We got their leftovers - what they oouldn’t drive away with - frozen prawn, blue cod, chicken, smoked salmon, raspberries and so on! A veritable culinary treasure!
2. After sampling some of the leftover wines - in total a whole boxful - a hubby is having an evening snore while I watch the sun set over the gold rimmed clouds! And my life is colourful!
3. A new shirt aka blouse!
Stunning scene, such vibrant colours
