Rather large tent by maggiemae

Rather large tent

I knew that a huge marquee was being set up in a side street in Oamaru for a conference but was amazed at the length and at the number of concrete blocks to anchor it down!
Processed in Silver Efex

Three Good Things:
1. Talked to Pat - @happypat - just before she left to return to the UK. She must have great memories!
2. Adventures are happening all round NZ! Latest is one of three ladies on horseback doing the South Island! All seem to have executive jobs before but have saved enough to do this!
3. Polio injection went without comment but felt over night.
Like the tones to this.

Lovey processing!! They must be expecting a strong wind!! I would love to drive all round the South Island - keep the horses as I am afraid of them! LOL!!

I like the vintage look for this image. There are so many choices of presets in silver efex it is really hard to choose isn't it?
April 5th, 2016
@grammyn They all produce a different look too! You have just got to decide which one appeals to you!
April 5th, 2016
@maggiemae You chose the perfect one for this subject. It enhances the light nicely.

This is timeless looking -- well processed for the scene.
April 5th, 2016
This looks really good - great processing.

Love your processing. This marquee will survive most weather that might arrive. No.2- if I was a lot younger I would have loved to ride my horse on an adventure like that. Sadly those days are long gone.
April 5th, 2016
Don't think that tent is going anywhere in a hurry. You show it's hugeness well in your photo.
April 5th, 2016
Wow it is huge! I like the processing Maggie
April 5th, 2016
That is big and they certainly don't want it to fly away. Neat capture.
April 5th, 2016
That is a rather large tent. Your processing is perfect.
April 5th, 2016
Great perspective of this extra large marguee and nice vintage tones
April 5th, 2016
Large marguee hope the weather is good without wind.
April 5th, 2016
nice shine to the tent. polio shots? really? I didn't know they still did them.
April 5th, 2016
@francoise Yes Francoise - apparently polio has raised its ugly head again in several places round the world!

April 7th, 2016

fav
April 7th, 2016
Great light, makes the tent look as though it's made of satin.
April 7th, 2016
@paulaw I think this silver efex processing does create a satin look, Paula! Be interesting to see what it does for other pics!
April 7th, 2016
@ninaganci No , there is not much wind here, Nina - thats why all this anchoring is surprising! I guess they are being safe - there are cyclones way to the north Pacific!

you can let me know your Toronto itinerary. my email is vikkisummerfield@gmail.com; it'd be wonderful to see you at the airport hotel, and quite easy to go there depending of course on what time you will arrive and leave the next day. looking forward to meeting you and john!
