We left the port of Keelung in Taiwan at 7pm and watched the clusters of lights from small villages passing by until we reached the open sea.
Three good things:
1. Immigration in Taiwan meant long treks down corridors to have your passport stamped several times in the one day! But there was good wifi in the Arrivals Hall.
2. Found out why I couldn’t focus on anything! Not all the liquor I had partaken but the focusing ring around the lens on the camera was stuck on macro!
3. My name on the events for tomorrow - a book chat by Margaret Munro on her published book about her mother’s travels round the world in 1929! Help, holp - what am I going to say!
Looks like a busy port of call. Ooooo- you are famous! I wish I'd bought my copy directly from you so I could have it autographed! I'm sure you will say something very witty and enjoyable as you are a great story teller!
The lights and colours are great in this shot. You must be having a blast. I hope your book chat goes well. No doubt you'll be fine, it sounds like fun and I wish I could hear it too!
Great image and good luck with your talk, I am sure it will be amazing, I really enjoyed your photos and narrative about your mother's travels when you put them on here and I am sure that the passengers will enjoy it even more being delivered in person.
Well hopefully it's all over now & im sure you went down a treat! Nothing wrong in fact essential to partake of a spot of liquid courage! Exciting looking looking port as you sail awY. Good for the security!
@happypat I didn't have a 'spot', Pat - didn't want to breathe alcoholic fumes over people! It was good because people were genuinely interested and almost made me feel important!
I'm pleased yo hear your book chat went well. Good for you. It sure was a great read. I think I will refer to it when on our travels in uk in September. Is a talk ion 365 project next on your schedule??
I knew I should've got your autograph when I bought that book!
