Shanghai seems to be very rich city with skyscrapers of all different shapes, green gardens with long pathways and the river teeming with busyness. Barges carried timber, waste building materials and most had covers on them. Ferries took visitors up and down, all staring at our big ship and taking selfies! It was raining and a lot cooler so we didn’t go ashore but enjoyed life on board.
Three good things:
1 Went to the fitness centre and turned on the walking machine. Thinking it was km/hr, i pushed ‘6’. As I just about shot off the end of it, realised it was mph but managed to grab a handle and turned it off!
2. Walked 4.4km up and down and climbed 14 flights of stairs!
3. Cocktail of the day was a ‘Basil Gimlet’. Got to be healthy!
Such a wonderful night shot Maggiemae -- all those different shaped buildings and lights - so exotic . You certainly had more than you bargained for on the walking machine !! be careful -- not the place to spend your time injured !! lol !!
Amazing light show. I'm loving the shots and tales from your journey. A basil gimlet must be green and, therefore, it goes without saying it has to be good for you.
Great night shot- it looks like a very dynamic city. The lights are so pretty. Is that white triangular building some sort of memorial or is it the terminal where the ferries go in?
Beautiful image of the exotic night
