Mr Toad

Anaxyrus americanus. Or the common American Toad. He's a cutie. Other wildlife I missed as my camera was getting both batteries charged. A big fluffy raccoon saw me on a trail and charged up a tree trunk with something in its mouth. A closer inspection revealed a baby racoon!

Three good things:
1.Put peanuts on the deck to watch the chipmunks but it was a race to see if granddaughter got them or the chipmunks did!
2. A good book set in Scotland.
3. Sabrina has amazing tee shirts - one today says, "Daddy's co-pilot' Very apt as her father is a pilot.

We had a toad at our old Va. home and when we moved to Ohio we had to say our goodbyes. Even our Husky Maggie liked the thing!! A garden pot turned sideways made a nice home!!
