Waters Edge by maggiemae

Waters Edge

By the lake's edge and the little pontoon that I am standing on enables me to look back at the path up to the cottage.

Three good things:
1. I can't swim due to the plaster on my arm but then I can just sit here and enjoy.
2. Trundled around in a paddleboat looking at the little chalets hidden in the trees and getting some good exercise.
3. A walk in the woods.
How classic a scene.

What a delightful scene, but did I miss something? Why do you have a plaster on your arm?
June 2nd, 2016
P.S. This would make a wonderful jigsaw puzzle.

@skstein I fell down a moving escalator, Sandy - a few postings ago and scraped some skin off my wrist. A real nusiance!

@susale If you can sprout wings, the doors open, Suse!

@maggiemae oh my, I'm so sorry to hear that. Hope it doesn't put a damper on the rest of your trip.
June 2nd, 2016
@grammyn the result of the fall, Katy and its not plaster for broken bones but just a bandaid thingie!
June 2nd, 2016
@skstein Other than keeping that wrist out of water, it is no problem at all, Sandy but thanks for your concern!
June 2nd, 2016
Just read your comment to grammyn. I thought it was a plaster for broken bones. Glad to see it's only a bandaid.
June 2nd, 2016
@maggiemae good to know. I knew it could be either one but I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't a cast for a broken bone.

Lovely scene - looks like a delightful spot to spend some time relaxing.

You have an injury! Thought you had broken it at first but glad to see its only the better sort of plaster! You got off lightly I reckon when you fell, thank goodness it wasn't worse! I am up in the night again, can't sleep although I'm tired. Been busy all day not even had time to post a photo tonight! Off to Norfolk in the morning after doing two breakfasts! Hope you are having a lovely time with family!

Looks like a great location to enjoy the sun.

This has a nice vintage feel to it. For a minute I too thought you had broken something - glad to hear it's not that serious.

Sorry to hear about your injury. Hope it gets better soon. Enjoy the time left.

What an idyllic looking place. where about is the cottage. Looks like you're enjoying your time with family. by reading some of the comments and your replies, I'm glad to know your injury was not severe. just the idea of falling is bad enough, but on an escalator. I'm always very careful getting on to one and always holding on to the railing.

Lovely tones.
June 3rd, 2016
@happypat my thoughts exactly. Thought it would be too much of a coincidence all three of us ending up in plaster!!

Idyllic, trees for shade and water for cooling feet.

What a beautiful place, Maggiemae. I love your photo and guess I need to look back further as you injured your arm and I missed that. I am sorry and hope you heal up fast.
