Seeing the light for the first time! by maggiemae

Seeing the light for the first time!

I did say I wanted to avoid a landscape or flower photo and this arrived! John lifted a rubbish container on our garden and underneath was growing some parsley - very pale parsley! Poor plant, had no sunlight!

This is B&W but the stems were almost white.

Three good things:
1. John went to the optometrist who found he had an eyelash that had turned inward and got embedded in an eye oil duct! Solved the problem.
2. Got our vehicle booked for a tow ball to be fitted. Hope there is no ice or snow on the way south on Friday!
3. Maybe have a caravan in our driveway soon!
Super on black

Intriguing image, had no idea how you'd created it.

Parsley can grow in shady places, but I think this is pushing it a bit too far! Makes a good photo though those pale stems reaching for the light.

Echoing above - fab on black.

@jaffacakes Honestly Julie - it was growing under the metal bucket! The ends of the leaves were vaguely green but all the stems were white!

It made a very interesting picture. maybe I should look underneath our buckets to see what I can find.

That eyelash thing is very painful ... happened to me and I didn't have it seen to for three days and was constantly "crying". I love the tones in your parsley picture.

@irisr Interesting to hear someone else has suffered this! John was rubbing his eye for weeks!

@janemartin Your comments bring me pleasure, Jane! I get lost trying to find the 'right' photo and tend to use something that just has a good story!
