What our trip to Dunedin was all about! Getting a tow ball on the car and picking up this wonderful caravan. Its seems like new and has got all sorts of extras - an efficient heater, a TV that has DVD and Sat box, solar panel, brand new curtains ( the lady didn’t want them up) a cover and an awning, extra gas cylinder. The oven, grill and gas stove top look new, the fridge is immaculate. We are both so happy!
Three good things:
1. John is happy about it all and there are lots of knobs not only to push but also to remember!
2. Bought lots of plastic stuff to use in it - light and unbreakable.
3. Hot Water Bottles.
Oh my, this is the holiday machine!! Wow you look a very smart outfit I must say, there will be no stopping you now, you will never be at home! Think of all the places to go, I think there's a poem about that.....& the sights to see! Very swish indeed Maggie & John!
@happypat Round here there are numerous lakes, rivers, mountains around (not to climb up though) and beaches! Wifi will be something to think about though. Won't be able to post when we are beside a lake in a wild area!
How swish ! -- Cara is certainly a lovely addition to the family . you and John will havr lots of travel and sight seeing in the van. We had a van all our married life and it was lovely to get away whenever the mood took us at the weekends !
@maggiemae Ah yes, a common scene between couples at caravan parks and a source of much amusement for non-caravan users (or maybe it's just me who is easily entertained)
Good for you. I too am envious. It is on my bucket list. Anytime you are in the Marlborough Sounds we have heaps of parking and a PowerPoint for caravans. Not till October when we get home though.
Oh I am so jealous! I have always wanted a camper van or caravan! So exciting! May you have many wonderful trips to fabulous places! Looking forward to hearing your traveller's tales!
