Alan, our intrepid balloonist, forgot to check the weather forecast in his effort to impress Yolanda! Thus the weather seriously deteriorated and lightning and snow faced our courageous trio! Yolanda threw her hands up in desperation but remained mute (instead of screaming)!
Alan turned around and tried to get back to where he knew was safe.
Now Mr Man, our Nuts’n’bolts man, had a trick up his sleeve - he had wings on his bike that he unleashed so he could travel by himself and not impede the balloon’s forward movement!
Alan was desperately struggling to hold the whole thing still, being buffeted by high winds and snow (and Yolanda banging on his head)!
Three good things:
1. Mr Man had the tent in his rear bag as he had thought it would be just wonderful to be in this with his love, Yolanda.
2. The weather bomb has arrived and it hasn’t stopped raining but we are on a high ridge and nothing will sweep us away!
3. An offer of good wine, Australian, NZ, Italy and French - hey - stock the caravan!
So, she did let go of the rope, bet Yolanda is well pleased with Mr Man's wings sprouting. Hope the weather breaks so they can continue to enjoy their experience - fingers crossed.
I think poor Mr Man is in serious danger of being hit by lightening! If I was Yolanda I would ditch Mr Nuts & bolts & cling onto Alan who will probably dressed in Eco clothing so no danger of electricity frizzy her hair!
@happypat Mr Man is a Man of Steel, Pat! A little bit of lightening will not deter him! I think Alan is the nutcase here - hasn't even got a parachute!
Very entertaining to say the very least. It sounds like one of the old perils of Pauline stories that used to be so popular in the states. A superb photo that tells the story by itself and then is only improved by the narrative.
Sounds like the caravan is going to be stocked with all the essentials!
