Off the Beaten Track

Lake Monowai is in the Fiordland National Park and can be reached off another road in that area. Its a gravel road and our caravan got battered by dust and small stones. Stunning scenery and is a destination for those who want to walk over mountain trails. Stoopid people! We had lunch here - avocado on freshly made grain toast!

Three good things:
1. Filled up with water and gas and trailed off to a POP place (Parking Over Property) where they provided power but there was no water or toilets.
2. The famed Keplar Challenge is started just down the road - over 450 people take off into the wilderness and run over mountains and back - 60km!
3. I'm not going on this run or even 1/4 of the way in! My 15 minute walk to the finish line will be my exercise for the day!
Wonderful shot and reflection...

@superkengquoi No dangerous animals here in NZ. At all! Can't guarantee the same when it comes to the person, though!

Interesting spot- it looks much like a primeval forest to me. (I probably spelled that incorrectly but I'm too lazy to go get the dictionary and check). Great colors too!
