The other eye by maggiemae

The other eye

Wondering about the other eye, brought another similar challenge - my left eye!

It seems to have more brown spots in it and a darker blue which I think is the light from the outside at this time. The exposure and aperture are slightly different than the other eye photo. I honestly don’t have different coloured eyes!

Three Good Things:
1. Finding files belonging to my mother in her life - she had Russian relatives that she had to go to a tremendous amount of trouble to allow to visit. A letter from the House of Commons!
2. John and I discussing what happened in the 1930s . Communism and MRA. My mother and her sister were involved.
3. John volunteered with the Lions at a ‘Free Dump Day” Its going to be closed. Huge piles of stuff - flat screen TV’s, computers, mattresses by the dozens, books, chairs, tables, rugs, picture frames - you name it!
Beautiful

This is a beautiful eye, much richer colour than the other one although I know very well they will be pretty identical! Your mum had a very fascinating life!
April 20th, 2017
Your eyes are a gorgeous colour!
April 20th, 2017
@happypat Its getting more and more amazing as I learn of the different connections in those early days of the 1930's Pat. Names like Oscar Wilde, Andre Gide, Blunt, McLean and Burgess, Rupert Brooke etc

You have lovely eyes!

After my eyelid shots I had some very bad eyebrow shots so gave up - again, very well done!
April 20th, 2017
@alophoto You know what, Amanda - I have never seen my eyes ever so close! I'm quite amazed. The eye looks good - its the saggy skin and lines around them that is not shown!
April 20th, 2017
@fbailey Crop 'em out!
April 20th, 2017
@maggiemae Well, done mum for opening so much interest in her life & writing it all down for you to learn. I wonder if our 365 posts will serve the same as your mums diary?
April 20th, 2017
@happypat I wonder if the descendants will even know! You would have to put it in your will!
April 20th, 2017
@maggiemae Ha ha, it all depends on how long the site runs, we are at their mercy!!
April 20th, 2017
@happypat Ya reckon we are going to live another 20 years?
April 20th, 2017
@maggiemae could do, we are all living longer. As long as its quality life I'm game! Keep travelling & no sitting in chairs watching too much TV! A tot if drink every day, a good book & plenty of friends would help too! Recipe for a long life! Oh and no gambling!
April 20th, 2017
@happypat You said that as an afterthought Pat - how did gambling get into the picture? I love my 5 minutes of poky machines and I lose all the time!

I tried taking a picture of my eyes in my first or second year- it is not easy! And I see you've done two. Eyes are so interesting in a photo like this. You see details you never see in daily life.

Wow your mom and aunt must have been amazing and interesting women. So very cool!
April 21st, 2017
colour of the eye changes with your mood or mind set at the time, and then some depend on the lighting, too. how close was the camera to the eye? love the gold flecks against the marbly blue.
April 21st, 2017
@summerfield Focal length for both was 4.3mm. There was sun out in the first shot then cloudy bright for the second. Interesting!
April 21st, 2017
@elatedpixie They were both strong and independent women, P but my aunt spent the rest of her life in Russia - she, and others of that era thought that communism would work. Of course it didn't.!

No little red hearts in this one! OK, if we manage to meet when you do your Indian tour I'll know how to identify you. ;-)
April 21st, 2017
That is quite and interesting photo. Almost surreal. I like the eye, itself. But also the reflection of the sky(?) and the lash inside it.
April 21st, 2017
@stray_shooter We will be in LA on the 16th to the 17th, Ron and at the mercy of the Indian Motorbike Company who are funding us. The next destination is El Mirage. It would be nice to know we are in the same city as you even if we can't meet, Ron
April 21st, 2017
@mbrutus
Standing in front of a window must produce a reflection of the sky - it was up to my focus whether I got that or not!
April 21st, 2017

If you do this with the rest of your face you can then create a collage.
April 21st, 2017
I think the difference in colour has a lot to do with how much light is shining in. Great effect xx
