Mrs Mushroohm has solved all her problems.
In the same area is a huge concrete wall holding up a cutting on the main south road. Now and then there are holes and these daisies have made it their home. They are a notifiable weed in the north but in the south they are controlled by the lower temps. Called “the Mexican Daisy - “Why is it weedy?
Forms dense mats and produces huge amounts of seed that travel for long distances. Wide ecological versatility, tolerating moderate shade to full sun, damp to drought conditions, sand to mud, almost any surface (tree and fern trunks, loose gravel, and so on), high to low temperatures”
Three good things:
1. This great little daisy makes the huge concrete wall look like an art gallery!
2. I used the water colour setting on my camera.
3. Trying to be aware what not to take, in various world borders!
Well I would buy a packet of seeds for this pretty flower! Why is is a weed, just because it's prolific perhaps! Loving the water colour feature used here, the world is a scary place just now, slightly worried about Jack going to live in Japan this summer but you have to live your life!
@happypat Young people can handle travel so much better provided they don't have the wrong packet in their pockets! This daisy will overpower shrubs and anything where it seeds. In the North i would have to spray it but down here it doesn't seem to be a bother. None in my garden!
#3Trying to plan ahead for so many possible eventualities must be a headache.
