This is outside the little historic hotel that we are staying at. Our hostess let us share her eclipse glasses and we excitedly watched the event together. Dancing in the shadows. Maximum eclipse was at 11.35 in Salt Lake City.
Three good things;
1. I bought a new camera! A Fujifilm X-T20 mirrorless. Next photo should be from that providedI can work out what all the knobs are for!
2. I also bought some new clothes having left a whole drawerful at the last hotel!
3. Hugs with our hostess.
We got nothing but smoke and haze and then the world getting darker. It was hard to know there was a 91% eclipse above my yard, and have to watch it on NASA live feed but it was also an amazing job they did and worth watching.
I love that you show the difference in this diptych. Quite a spectacle to be a part of isn't it?
Sorry about your clothes but you will soon be able to wear the new ones at home too. Congratulations on the camera and looking forward to the new pictures
So many things. Yes, the eclipse is a unique experience, good luck with the new camera and was the clothing left accidentally or a ploy to go shopping ??
New American clothes! You will have clothes like none of your friends this summer! I was just thinking how frightening an eclipse must have been in years gone past when no one knew what was going on!
Younwill be ready for home I expect but what a time you have had!
I just love your stories, Maggie! So much fun and you take things in stride. Left a drawer full of clothes? That is one way to get a new wardrobe! LOL! I hope you like your new camera too...you gave your other one a real workout, to our advantage. :)
