Today… it was “Arts on Bikes” Part of an art festival for the past 3 weeks. The Bike Trail (very similar to ‘trial”) was not far from my home. I got on Ruby (commonly known as the Worlds Fastest Indian) on electric bikes and powered up this trail. I observed a motorcyclist at the intersection had come off and was in difficulty. Not wanting to photograph this I was aware that an ambulance was screaming up to this point! Hoping that John didn’t think it was for me!
The Art on Bikes went through the Oamaru Gardens and this was a new Oamaru stone statue! I really have to stop here and find out the story!
Three good things:
1. Of course, it wasn’t for me - I am always SO careful!
2. The drizzly rain came in but I had a quick way home to where the fire kept our home so warm!
3. Watched Bathurst on TV - “The Bathurst 1000 is a 1,000-kilometre touring car race held annually on the Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia” Almost as exciting as our adventure down a mountain track in a 7.5 RV!
@flowerfairyann It appears so, Ann - I had just had a moment with my bike and had turned the accelerator on with a consequence of the bike turning a somersault and shot past in an embarrassment!
Oamarua stone, this is an interesting centrepiece. I think it looks like a guy moving the stone on his shoulder perhaps. I can just see you whizzing along here! Our neighbour was out oh her electric bike this afternoon. It's her life saver as she is not allowed to drive right now because of illness. Beautiful spring blossom!
@happypat Yes that was a beautiful huge blossom tree but I had to crop in to see the statue bit clearer! The face is very clear but it may be a family.
What a beautiful pov and capture , the stone is so different in shape and I suppose that is what you meant by the title -- yet I had a silly moment and thought you meant the traffic cone by its side and the two so different to one another !! lol !!
@grammyn Just about did, though,Katy - whatI said to @flowerfairyann above! I had gloves on and couldn't tell the difference between the bike handle and the accelerator beside!
So glad you and Ruby did not get into any problems.
