Once more in our RV and this time to a little lake we haven't been before but only and hour or so from home. We had the place to ourselves except for a family who came to kayak in the afternoon. Bit of drama there - they had three dogs running about and coming back from a walk, I saw one of them eating something beside a tree. As the area had had a pindone poison drop for vermin, there was a serious risk of a dead carcass being poisonous. I told them to watch the dog and if it looked a bit sick, give it 1/2 cup of salt dissolved in water. Never heard but the car came back to collect the carcass so something might have happened.
Three good things:
1. We don't have dogs now.
2. Some great photographs.
3. Reading books beside a tranquil lake
Beautiful picture. The poison thing worries me. I had so many rats last year, trapped over 50, so I finally used poison, but I hate the stuff for the sake of birds and cats
Such a lovely image -love your edit A really nice spot except for the rat poison ! Amazed that the dog owners didn't take heed to the notice Alfie would have been on a short lead -- in fact in fact I do not think I would have not gone on to the area at all ! FAV for a lovely scene !
Very pretty- a wonderful place for reading and photography! Too bad about the dog- but even if it was perfectly safe, one should still not let your dog run all over the place like that. You don't know how people will react to the animal or the animal to them. Better be safe than sorry. Good shot!
Hope the dog is okay. They put bait out close to the beach here occasionally to get rid of the rabbits and even though the signs are quite clear people still let the dogs off leash. I do warn them when I see owners with dogs running loose but they still take no notice.
Love the glow of that green , it's almost fleurescent! Love the way you edit your pictures! Good advice for dog owners, some people are exceptionally careless.
I love this photo
