The Scene.. by maggiemae

The Scene..

This is the Lake where we are staying and still we are alone… a camper van came in and then left….. a huge bus came in and positioned itself.. The door opened and out fell 4 small children, two Jack
Russel dogs, an elder girl and her obvious boyfriend and a plump and chuckling Mum with Dad. Reminded me of the program….The Darling Buds of May! But there were notices posted about cyanide being laid and dangerous for dogs, so we approached them and offered the information. John was asked, “How do you know that’ in a slightly belligerent way! He was going to say … “I with my eyes read it’!.. but didnt. Said it was where you were supposed to register. They left.
Three good things:
1. We got our gas filled up -heating, cooking all go!
2. We emptied our thingie at the dump site… all go - not hopefully too often!
3. This is taken from the opposite side of the lake looking towards where we are parked. Just off to the left - not in this photo.
Awesome shot

What a gorgeous place! Why would anyone plant cyanide around? I'm glad they left before their dog was injured.

@joysfocus Its to poison the rabbits and ferrets around Joy! They do it in all the wild places at least twice a year. Department of Conservation.

Had to smile at your narrative! I can just see the Darling Buds of May gang landing in your peace and quiet and the belligerent raise of the eyebrow when you know something they don't....!! Lovely landscape. Mountains are always wonderful, aren't they?

@casablanca exactly! One small little girl's disposable nappy fell down one leg and she stood still until a laughing Mum came down and took them right off!
