The Street Race in Invercargill was today but a combination of oil spilt on the track and rain, ended the event! They cancelled for the rest of the day for safety reasons.
We were at the cafe called “Zookeepers’ which has amazing sculptures and creatures all over it. I took this one with a flash which is actually not seen in reality as being so dark! Quite frightening!
Three Good Things:
1. End of the Challenge and in spite of a cancelled event, it was deemed so successful!
2. John spoke so well at the end function and awarded his family trophy to a new person - this year it was the actual race commentator who is just incredible with his skill and knowledge. A very popular choice.
3. Another grandma nap! This is getting to be a routine - don’t know if good or bad!
Glad the race was a success, oil & rain would be a real hazard so good descision! I think John is becoming a real famous person! He will be giving autographs soon! Short naps are good!
All the fresh air and activity that you have been enjoying probably is why you need that nap! Fabulous to get this photo before the nap. Quite an interesting subject
You still were able to make a go of it and he’s nice proof of that. I’d love to go somewhere like this. Glad it all turned out well in the end! Nap on!
@pandorasecho Hey, Dixie - I just thought it was an arrow! Then I looked again after your comment and the whole thing changed. A rose between her teeth makes another statement!
