Hunkering down at the Blue Lake near Rotorua to avoid the projected new Cyclone Hola. It is fine and peaceful here and this young boy was covering himself in sand while two older people in the water seemed to be watching me. I used my pull out view finder for this shot and focused from the hip!
Finding it difficult to browse 365 - internet is not always available or costs the earth! But I try..
Three good things:
1. So many tourists here but its nice to be NZ citizens enjoying their own country so much.
2. Keeping up with Trump is more than difficult but our news programmes keep us up to date.
3. More weather news tomorrow but we are safe!
Good to see the lad having fun and keeping himself occupied alone. Is that a splash in the water behind? Hope you have no more troubles with the weather.
Children love sand! It's winter here and a couple weeks ago I took my grandchildren to the sand dunes along Lake Michigan. They were wearing their snow pants and the rest of their winter clothes and playing in the sand like it was summer time
Is it cyclone season there? If so, I hope that you stay safe from all storms! This is a lovely photo; wonderful that the boy can so easily amuse himself.
Just a quiet moment for this boy, he's very content in his own company. The adults would be watching you perhaps, photographing kids in the UK is a very risky business these days! Good job you didn't make it obvious! Trump is a unknown force!
