From yesterday’s photo to today - I got my beautiful egg coddlers all together. They are Worcester Porcelain and I didn’t come by these easily. One from the USA another from eBay and the rest from NZ second hand stores.
How to cook is yesterdays comments.
Three Good Things:
1. I spent a lot of time organising a slideshow of our European trip this last summer - the winter over there.
2. Not easy but if I get it right with music I will be proud.
3. Brazil nuts roasted, are wonderful in a salad.
Wow these are beauties maggie, works of art & useful with it! Almost too pretty to use but it's lovely when things are used instead of sitting in a cupboard or China cabinet. The slideshow sounds wonderful, you are clever! Lots of talents at your finger tips!
@happypat They are very easy for B&B breakfast - put a few bits of bacon in or mushrooms or cream etc etc. You can pull them out of the water easily by the lid ring and serve them as is!
That slideshow - involved a lot of swearing, Pat!
@maggiemae Ha ha I can imagine the swearing......so much skill & patience needed! I have been looking at coddler son eBay, there is a rather nice one with chickens on it! I get the ring thing now then, very clever design!
@pandorasecho You break eggs into a glass then tip the yolk and a bit of white into the greased pot. Then you have enough room for another done likewise. Add cheese, onion, tomato, bacon bits, mushroom, cream - whatever you like. Screw the top on and put into a simmering deep pot of water, putting a trivet on the bottom for them to stand on. I allow 15 minutes - the water has to be just under simmering - and pull them out by the ring. Serve as is. Piece of cake!......no eggs!
Yum. Here smoked salmon, cream cheese, bacon and avocado are my favorite omelette additions. Maybe I’ll give this a try. It’s always been something I’ve only seen in books
Great collection! We had a couple that were my mother's- I think my sister has them. I have all the soft-boiled cups. I should start making them again. I always loved them as a child. Nowadays, I'm more likely to make an omelet. Enough rambling- I like the ones with wren and the berries. Which one came from the US? Just curious!
That slideshow - involved a lot of swearing, Pat!
Good on you for your work with the slide show and your salad sounds delish!
