Choc Fudge Pudd. by maggiemae

Choc Fudge Pudd.

Fathers’ day in NZ was well publicised and in actuality I think its brilliant. To either remember your father or to connect.
We went out for lunch at a new country pub and although it was small the ambiance was good and the food excellent.
Then it was the treat I had promised….. chocolate fudge pudding. I had to use my experience as I replaced the cocoa with real chocolate but it turned out beautifully!
Three good things;
1. This photo is the pudding just taken out of a hot oven.
2. My other photo shows it as a helping with ice-cream.
3. Father’s Day is also good for Mothers!
Tasty

My son would always ask for chocolate pie for his birthday instead of birthday cake.

Oh my word I could so just eat that this very minute! It looks yummy! A real treat fir John on Father's Day! Harry got a bag of airplanes ( the lolly) & a card so he was happy! He has two fathers days as I do on Mother's Day!

@happypat Its breakfast time here, Pat so really don't feel like this pudding now but you on the other hand, are in the evening! Chocolate is good for you!

@maggiemae I've had my quota today! Having last cup of tea before bed now & half a custard tart.

@happypat Night night! I think I like custard tarts as much as chic fudge puddings!

It looks fabulous, what a treat after a great day. So happy that you mentioned replacing the cocoa with chocolate. It is sure to make a huge difference.

It must smell fabulous just out of the oven.

@ludwigsdiana It made a difference to the recipe, though Diana! More fat content. I had to melt the chocolate in the reduced quantity of butter.

Oh wow, my daughter made one with real chocolate while I was there and that was even more disastrous on my waistline, but sooooo darned good.

@golftragic Try singing, Marnie - it is great for the health. (not perhaps for the waistline though!)

@maggiemae Given my musical (in)ability I think I might pass on that idea thanks awfully. I'll just have to buy bigger clothes.

@golftragic Don't you dare! That's giving up! Eat broccoli for a week!

Looks delicious....would smell heavenly!

That looks really yummy, especially for people who love chocolate like I do.

@happysnaps You are right, Valerie - from the moment I took the chocolate out of the packet and started to melt it in the butter!

@sangwann I hope you get good chocolate there in Malta Dione! Swiss, or English - both very good!

Looks tasty!

Yummy!

@maggiemae Hahaha!! I love broccoli, but not as a solo show. But I do want to shed a few kilos before summer, so I'm considering how best to go about it. One problem, according to my GP, is some of the meds I'm on. Can't do much about that, so looking at other options.

Yummers! I would eat that! :)

@golftragic That is where both the doctor and perhaps a dietitian could help you! But honestly - lean meat/fish/chicken plus salads (no cream dressing) would be the best!

looks delicious. when I saw the thumb nail of this, I honestly thought that I was looking at a bath full of chocolate!
September 4th, 2018
@maggiemae Bring on warm weather and I'm up for that kind of food! I love that sort of stuff.
