Armistice

The date was 11th November 1918. The day the guns fell silent in that terrible war WW1!
Oamaru remembered them in the ceremony today and I was there listening to the rifles huge noise, the sad sound of the Last Post .
I just about jumped out of my skin when they shot the rifles!

Three good things:
1. The participants of this event were so respectful and sincere.
2. The bells chimed at the right moment … almost!
3. A nice Sunday resting and remembering
