photo taken 2 years ago at this time of year. This castle is still famous. You have to know it's there - not expecting something like this to be in the countryside here. Dot's ( who used to have purple hair but now it's white! ) garden and her son's Riverstone Restaurant is also just as famous!
Lovely. A few years ago @julzmaioro and I were travelling down that way and I promised to take her somewhere special for lunch (Riverstone). We arrived and it as shut…might’ve been a Monday? It’s a lovely place for a meal.
Wow a beautiful castle in a very different setting. It’s unusual to see a castle with no trees & in such an open space. It looks like it could be your Oamaru stone?
