My day of pain meant I couldn’t bend at all- I pinched my socks on the floor between my toes and threw them up on to the bed to put on. Found some semi serious painkillers prescribed to me 3years ago by a hospital when I broke a couple ribs. Had one - and it really worked within 2 hours - but only for about 1/2 hour then I felt quite weird. Not taking them again.
To be thankful for:
Forget-me-nots just opening - a small bunch in the rose bed.
Good whisky…!
Pretty flowers! So sorry to hear about your back. Hope you get some relief soon! I have a couple of long handled pickers to pick things up off the floor - got them when my sister hurt her back. It’s the things you see people out picking up litter - not sure of the correct name. I think you can get them online. Really useful even when your back isn’t playing up! I use them to pick up our post. We have a gate at the front door to stop Finlay getting to the post and eating it! I can lean over the gate and pick up the post well out of Finlay’s reach.
Lovely light on your forget-me-not , lovely cheerful little flowers . Sorry to hear about your pain ! , hope you will get some relief soon ! - good suggestion from Pam K , - I also have one of these log-handled picker thing ! - very useful ! take-care !
@louannwarren Thanks, Lou Ann - but I have had these episodes in the past and the doctors just send you off to X-rays where they find nothing wrong. I"m getting John to do everything which is rather nice!
@maggiemae oh! Well Jerry went and his ortho doctor gave him some cream to rub on his back, and it worked. It was something new for Jerry and we were so glad it helped. Hope your remedies work and you are all better real soon.
Sorry your back is hurting. The grabber that Pam mentioned works well for me. I use mine quite often because I have short arms (whole body is short, ha!). Also when my back, hips or knees are acting up. I also use a contraption like a seed filled sock that I warm up in the microwave, it soothes my back, hip and neck.
Love reading all the comments above as your answers are rather amusing! Great shot with wonderful lighting. I have regular back issues too, certainly very unpleasant when one cannot put on one's own socks! Hope yours is better soon, lucky you to have John's long arms ;-)
Oh dear maggie...you are in the wars! Nothing worse than a bad back for making you feel rough. You will be tensed up which is tiring in itself! Do hope you feel better soon.....lovely forget-me nots! Whisky sounds the best cure to me!
@happypat
Trouble is - when whisky dulls the pain you think you are getting better - but the next day brings bad news - you are not. And you can't drink whisky at breakfast time!
Hope you are feeling much better now. No fun being in terrible pain.
