This rose had been well pruned earlier. It is standard rose but It decided not to be standard - more like outstanding! I had no energy to do anything - even going up and down steps was agony so this was only two steps down from the front door:

That is a stunning rose bush maggie...the very essence of summer. You shouldn’t be going up & down steps but lying flat on your back in the warm sun with a shady hat & a good book. Haven’t you had any massage yet? Bad backs are the devil!
@happypat I've got a plug-in massager, Pat and it does help but its taking a while - this is bad pain. Apparently 80% of people have bad backs at some time or other!
@maggiemae I remember you had the test but I don't have a lot of faith in their accuracy. Of course I am grateful it is only a bad back but I still worry about you! Take it easy and try to be patient! Back pain is no fun!
