be very appropriate for today. A funeral service for a great granddaughter who fought for her life for 6 years. She was born with a gene disorder that had no future for her. The parents had a 24 hour caring for her particularly in the last 3 years.
The words on the service leaflet were so special:
"Our precious girl has now found her wings.
Rise high, beautiful Freya"
Oh, I'm sorry to hear of such difficulty and sadness. Sincere sympathy to you and your family. A beautiful sky to illustrate the lovely sentiment on the leaflet.

Oh my word that must have been a very emotional day maggie. Beautiful words, must have been a very hard time for those caring parents. A beautiful evening for thinking.
@grammyn we have known from when she was born that this was going to happen, Katy. So its not unexpected but so sad to see the deterioration of her body over the last few years.
@happypat In some ways, a blessing Pat. She couldn't eat, walk move, talk. She was in bed for the last year and had to be turned every 1 & 1/2 hours, during the night too!
