Today is 21st June - our shortest day in NZ. The sun was almost set so I turned around and took my shadow. It will never be as long as that for another year! Now back inside to the warm fire and the longest night!
Very cool Maggie! Love the light. No chance of seeing a shadow here today. It's only 4:15 and already nearly dark- it's been a grey, rainy day here. I always look forward to this day so it can start getting better!
@marieooi Thanks, Marie! We used to have solstice parties every year and go outside and listen to the bagpipes coming up the slopes to our house (prerecorded an on speakers placed on either side). Too much trouble nowadays!
