Along the old wagon trail, these pubs popped up to accommodate the horses and wagons on their way from the goldfields to the Banks on the East Coast of Otago. There are numerous ones, but now, no horses, - they are on the Bike Rail Trail where 1000s of bikers pass by, stay for a pint or a bunk or just carry on!
