Come on, Mum! by maggiemae

Come on, Mum!

Sitting typing away here and out the open door heard a familiar tapping. I crept to the door and saw this thrush whacking the snail on the concrete. I wasn't fast enough for this activity but on watching, the thrush got the snail exposed then in came family! Poor little starving birds with their pathetic chirping! Mum kept out of their way but the snail changed beaks several times.
Hey, its my first decent bird shot! I'm chuffed!
You should be chuffed too... great shot, it's not easy capturing the early bird and worm

Ah Spring & new babies, what a lovely sight! We have hardly any thrushes around here unfortunately any more which is very sad. Clever birds!
