Watercolour by maggiemae

Watercolour

This is my actual photo but it came out looking like the watercolour painting I wanted to create. The sky was rich with evening sun and clouds so I shot this honeysuckle against the sky.
Honeysuckle is to die for! This looks gorgeous. Do you pull off the green bits at the base and suck the nectar. A very happy memory from my childhood.

@lwain I'd forgotten all about that - going out now for a sweet experience!

@maggiemae Lucky you. We used to have it growing all over a fence at home but I don't see it so much in this area these days sadly.

@kbalychev Thanks Kimberly for your words - It hit me when I first saw it on the computer as outside at night, after sunset, I hadn't a clue how it would turn out!

@yonnie I was pleased about that slight gold bokeh too, Yvonne though I had trouble explaining to John what it was!

@annbo Somehow the photo made a lot of purple colours which were nice - don't know how - must have been the dim light!

This is gorgeous. Love the delicacy of honeysuckle at the best of times, but the soft background here works perfectly.
